How my journey began…

Julie Kowalchuk has been working in the mental and physical health and wellness field for the last 15 years. She began as a personal trainer and then went on to receive her Masters Degree from Sarah Lawrence College in Dance/Movement Therapy.  After graduating, she worked as an Inpatient Psychiatric Rehabilitation Therapist for five plus years, leading psycho-educational,  emotional regulation, mindfulness, and movement therapy groups.  Her primary role was helping clients identify and understand their emotional states, and find ways to manage them. Over the years Julie has worked with clients suffering with various mental health issues, including thought and mood disorders, alcohol and drug abuse, self-harm, behavioral and emotional regulation issues, and autism, with clients ranging in age from 5-86 years old.

In 2020, Julie saw a tremendous need for emotional education and management as the world struggled through the ups and downs of the pandemic.  In response she started “Julie Nicole Wellness” on Instagram (@julienicolewellness), offering quick tips for stress relief, body-mind connection, and various breathing exercises. From there she has gone on to create full courses on Mastermind.com, and hosted her first emotional wellness workshop in December 2020.

Julie’s goal is to educate and share her passion with others in helping them define different ways to understand their emotional experiences from a body level, and use this information to improve the quality of their relationships, sense of self, and ultimately their lives.
